Daily tours – Join a knowledgeable historical interpreter for a guided tour of Nancy Island Historic Site. Learn about HMS Nancy and her crew, and the important role they played in the War of 1812.

Historic Journeys: Stories of Sport, Flight, and War – Offered Fridays at 5:15 p.m. until September 4, this engaging series brings history, culture, and community to life through stories of adventure, innovation, conflict, and resilience.

Admission to Nancy Island Historic Site is free, while guided tours and historic talks cost $5 per person, taxes included.

Hours: Guided Tours begin at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.

During this walking tour, participants will explore key features of the historic site and discover the story of the Nancy through engaging interpretation.

No reservations required. Walk-ins welcome. Note that guided tours are currently only available in English.

These engaging talks uncover tales of adventure, innovation, conflict, and community. Topics include:

  • HMS Nancy and the Battle of the Nottawasaga River: July 17, August 14 and September 4
  • The Flight of the Trail of the Caribou: July 10, July 31 and August 28
  • Game On, Eh! The Evolution of Canadian Sport: July 24, August 7 and August 21

Advance tickets are recommended, as space is limited.

This series complements the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Summer Sets, a free live concert series held Friday nights on the island.
